A grounded, compassionate approach to hypnotherapy built on real-life experience, not clichés.
Why I Do This Work
Most people imagine therapists as calm, sorted, Zen-master types who never struggle.
That’s not me.
I’ve lived with tinnitus for over 20 years. I’ve had periods where stress made my chest tight and sleep felt impossible. I’ve been through overwhelm, self-doubt, nights staring at the ceiling at 3am, and moments where my mind felt like a runaway train. I know what it’s like to feel trapped inside your own head. And that’s exactly why I do this work.
My Approach - Human First, Technique Second
People don’t need to be talked down to or analysed to death.
They need someone calm, grounded and unpretentious. Someone who can sit with them in their mess without judgement and help them out of it.
My approach is simple:
1. Calm the nervous system
Stress, anxiety, phobias, tinnitus reactivity all start with an overloaded system. Hypnotherapy helps reset that.
2. Shift the patterns that keep you stuck
No scripts. No “close your eyes and imagine a beach”. Just focused, personalised work that changes how your mind reacts to triggers.
3. Keep it practical and down-to-earth
No mystical claims. No nonsense. Just tools that genuinely work.
4. You stay in control
Hypnotherapy is a state of focused attention, not mind control. You’ll be awake, aware, and part of the process throughout.
Who I Work With
I work with people who are dealing with:
Tinnitus distress (my specialist area)
If your mind feels too loud, too reactive, or too tired then you’re in the right place. If you’re not sure which treatment area to explore or have questions about other treatment possibilities, then please contact me.
A Bit More About Me
Before becoming a hypnotherapist and counsellor, I spent many years in high-pressure roles in the business world. That experience taught me a lot about stress, burnout and what happens when you push past your limits for too long.
But it also gave me a strong foundation in:
understanding how people tick
how to guide change gently and effectively
how to listen properly
how to create a sense of safety and trust quickly
My work today blends professional training with lived experience and a calm, grounded style that clients tell me makes them feel understood almost instantly.
What Working With Me Feels Like
Clients often tell me:
“I felt calmer after the first session.”
“You actually get it — you’ve lived it.”
“It was easy to relax around you.”
“I didn’t feel judged or analysed.”
“I slept better for the first time in weeks.”
The biggest feedback? They feel safe, which is the foundation for any real change.
Simple & Genuine
If you’ve been struggling for a while, you don’t have to keep going the same way.
You can start feeling better sooner than you think. Let’s talk about what’s happening for you and whether hypnotherapy feels like the right fit.
