Session Booking & Payment

Full sessions are charged at £90 per session (a session will normally last 60 minutes) and will take place either online or other mutually agreed location. When you book your session, a deposit of 20% (£18) must be paid on booking. The deposit will be deducted from the cost of the first session. Payments for the balance of the first session and for subsequent sessions can be made in advance or up to 48 hours after the conclusion of the session. Failure to pay any balance will result in the cancellation of all future sessions.

Payment Methods

Payments are made online (via credit/debit card) and access to a payment portal will be provided after you book your session.

Cancellations

24 hours’ notice is required to cancel an appointment without charge; I reserve the right to charge the full fee for a session cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice. If you are running late for an appointment, please call me on the number provided to you when you book your session.

Audio Files

From time to time, as part of your treatment, you may be provided with hypnotherapy recordings as audio files. These files are provided for your personal use and must not be shared with any other person. These files should not be listened to when driving, operating heavy machinery or while conducting any other activity that requires concentration.

Confidentiality

All interactions which take place in the setting of therapy are confidential. This includes conversations by telephone or over the internet, all interactions with me, any scheduling or appointment notes, all session content records and any progress notes that I take during your sessions. There are a number of circumstances under which confidentiality may be broken, these are as follows:

  1. If you give me permission in writing to release any or specific information about you to any person or agency that you designate.

  2. Where I am compelled to release information by a court order.

  3. Where the information is such that confidentiality cannot be maintained, such as where there is a possibility of harm to yourself or others, where minors are involved, or I suspect a crime may be committed.

  4. Where a referring GP or other referring medical professional makes the production of a report the condition of the referral (you will also have access to the report).

Supervision

As a Member of the National Hypnotherapy Society, I am supervised in accordance with the Society’s guidelines to ensure the maintenance of professional standards. Such supervision may involve the discussion of clients and the sessions I have conducted with those clients. Any such discussion will not involve the disclosure of any of your personal details, any notes or case histories presented during supervision are anonymised in order to remove any personally identifiable information.

Treatment

An agreement to work on the issue(s) presented by you in no way implies a guaranteed resolution of the issue(s). I will endeavour to use my best efforts and skills to help you achieve your goals.

Ethics

As a Member of the National Hypnotherapy Society, I am bound by their code of ethics. A printed copy of the code of ethics is available on request at any of your sessions. The Code of Ethics is also available on the website of the National Hypnotherapy Society.

Complaints

As a Member of the National Hypnotherapy Society, I am bound by their Complaints Procedure. If you have a complaint about the service I offer you, and I am unable to provide you with a satisfactory resolution to that complaint, you can make use of the Society’s Complaints Procedure.

Data Protection

I take the privacy and protection of your personal data very seriously. I am committed to compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (2018).

I collect and process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR and only for the purposes of providing you with hypnotherapy services. This includes collecting and processing your contact information, health information, and payment details as necessary to schedule and provide these services.

I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. I will not share your personal data with any third parties except as necessary to provide you with my services or as required by law.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent for the processing of your personal data at any time.
